Introduction
In 1971, soon after the founding of the Los Altos Hills Horsemen's Association in the previous year, Irma Goldsmith created this booklet as a handout available for residents at Town Hall. Intended for Horsemen,
it provided the basics of horse ownership
as well behaviou on the road for riders.
(Irma Goldsmith was a founding resident of the town, and the person most responsible for promoting promoting the idea of "Horses and Trails"
becoming a prominent factor in the make-up the Town's "Semi-Rural" .character.
